James Madison's Totally Rad "Facebook Wall"
James Madison met Thomas Jefferson at the Virginia Convention in 1776. They both served as a president of the United States. James Madison served as Thomas Jefferson's secretary of state while Jefferson was president. James Madison and Thomas Jefferson stayed good friends for the rest of their lives.

James Madison was also friends with Alexander Hamilton. Alexander Hamilton was a political enemy of Thomas Jefferson, but even though that was the case James and Alexander were still friends. James Madison and Alexander Hamilton both believed that the United States needed a strong central government.
